ABOUT FRIENDS OF MONTCLAIR ANIMALS

a new chapter for animals in montclair

For 15 years, Friends of the Montclair Township Animal Shelter (FOMTAS) has played a meaningful role in helping animals in our community. Over time, the need has only grown—and so has our commitment to meeting it.

Building on that momentum, FOMTAS has evolved into Friends of Montclair Animals (FOMAS), a dedicated program of Partners in Animal Welfare, a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

This new chapter allows both FOMAS and Partners in Animal Welfare to do more for animals in need through stronger resources, broader reach, and the same compassion and commitment that has guided this work from the beginning.

By becoming a program of Partners in Animal Welfare, FOMAS is able to build upon everything Montclair supporters have made possible while expanding its ability to address additional animal welfare needs throughout the community.

WHAT WE DO

Friends of Montclair Animals exists to provide financial support where it is needed most—helping remove barriers that place animals at risk and strengthening the resources available to care for them.

Using targeted funding, FOMAS helps ensure that at-risk animals in Montclair can receive lifesaving medical care, find loving homes, or remain connected to the people who love them.

Helping Montclair-area rescues provide medical care for animals in need, transport animals from overcrowded shelters, and create pathways to adoption for pets seeking loving homes.

Supporting programs that help senior citizens and their beloved senior pets remain together by reducing barriers to care and providing assistance during times of need.
