Partners in Animal Welfare is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing animal welfare across New Jersey. We believe that meaningful, lasting change for animals happens when communities, donors, and advocates, work together on behalf of animals and animal welfare organizations.

Partners in Animal Welfare envisions a future where every animal is safe, loved and cared for, and where the bond between people and their pets is honored and protected. We believe that every animal assisted, organization strengthened, and family supported brings New Jersey closer to this vision.

mission

Our mission is to advance animal welfare across New Jersey. We provide funding to animal welfare organizations and pet owners in need, advocate for legislative change, and through public education and community engagement, expand the network of people who care about and invest in animal welfare.

WHY WE ACT

PAW recognizes that animal welfare organizations are too often performing life-saving work without the appropriate funding, staffing or other resources required to sustain their operations. Our core priorities are to fill the gaps in funding and programming necessary for the advancement of animal welfare in New Jersey.

PAW helps animals in crisis and advances animal welfare through funding, advocacy and education. Our core priorities are:

funding

Providing emergency medical and dental grants for animals in need and creating specialized programs for senior and disabled animals.

programs

Developing short-term and ongoing programs like our children’s reading program for shelters, nonprofit consultations and pet housing assistance for at-risk animals.

education

Offering live and remote opportunities to learn from animal welfare professionals and network with fellow animal welfare enthusiasts.

Partners in Animal Welfare’s strength lies in the expertise and dedication of an unyielding team who share a commitment to improving the lives of animals and strengthening animal welfare throughout New Jersey.

Our leadership includes professionals with experience in nonprofit leadership, law, finance, communications, marketing, journalism, advocacy, and animal welfare. Together, our Board of Trustees, Advisory Board, and community partners help guide funding decisions, support impactful initiatives, and identify opportunities to expand meaningful resources for animals and the organizations serving them.
